Celeste Barber, Whose Parodies Gave Her the Instagram Insta-fame.

In the world of fashion, glam and that perfect Instagram click, celebrities and social media models are slaying the internet with their amazing look and lifestyle. And to wittily challenge this craze and show us the real life like lifestyle is Celeste Barber, who under the hashtag #celestechallengeaccepted destroys all the picture-perfect selfies and pictures of celebrities.

The Australian actress and comedian Celeste Barber uses her simple look and ‘no fancy’ outfit to pose exactly like the eccentric celebrity fashion images which are trying to convince our minds to believe that these are the ultimate lifestyle. Barber gained fame within a short period of time attracting around 1.8 million followers and it’s still rising.

What makes her so popular is the way she portrays herself in the exact same pose, just like a normal lady, that brings back our attention to the reality. She adds amazing captions on the pictures she posts on the social media that sounds real and convincing than what is shown in the edited and outlandish pictures that she places next to her parody.

The overall content shared by Celeste is extremely funny and worth a laugh. It’s more relatable than the stereotypical picture perfect filtered look and a lavish lifestyle.

I mean, we all do believe celebrities and models look stunning even after getting out of the swimming pool, all shining and glistening like a mermaid under the sun. But reality is different, what Celeste explains as, “I never started out for it to be a body positive thing or be like, ‘fuck yeah’. It was always like, this is how celebrities get out of the pools [and] I’m like no, this is how you get out of the pool.”

The images are getting pretty positive responses as the ultimate response on sexism in media. Celeste posts it for fun and entertainment and she is happy that her posts and pictures are giving a positive effect. She said, “I totally identify as a feminist, but I’m even more so now without knowing I was one. All of a sudden, I’m like oh yeah, I’ll march and shit, because I’ve got a voice.”

So let’s see the parody star herself in her creative laugh-out-loud images
